PlateRite News 2000

The PlateRite News 2000 series delivers high-quality and highly productive digital plate output. Screen has developed a fast, reliable and compact thermal CTP platesetter to give newspaper publishers and commercial web operations that specialize in newsprint products greater flexibility.

The PlateRite News 2000S+ is ideal for pressrooms with variable plate requirements. It can handle different-size plates from 11.5" x 18.2" to a maximum of 38.5" x 26.9". The PlateRite News 2000S+ features a 64-channel laser diode exposure head that images up to 106 broadsheet plates or 49 doublewide plates per hour. The platesetter is engineered for single or dual plate loading, so two broadsheet plates can be loaded simultaneously. Four standard image settings — 1,000 dpi, 1,016 dpi, 1,200 dpi and 1,270 dpi — offer a choice of resolutions.
